Delete it in the app
You can delete your Sabha account yourself, at any time, from the Android or iPhone app, or the website.
- Open Sabha and sign in.
- Tap Profile in the menu.
- Tap Delete account.
- Read what will be deleted and tap Continue. We send a 6-digit code by SMS to your phone.
- Enter the code and tap Delete account. You are signed out at once.
Registration still waiting for approval, or not approved? Sign in, and on that screen tap Delete my registration; then follow steps 4 and 5.
What is deleted
- Your name, phone number, district, constituency, mandal, village, designation, title and "about" text. Group notices that showed your name (for example "started a group call", "left", "added", "removed") now say "Deleted member".
- Every photo, video and file you sent (and any group photo you set), from our server.
- Your membership of all groups, your stage permissions and the members you blocked.
- All your sign-ins, on every device.
- The notification tokens of your devices, so they stop getting Sabha notifications.
- The app's error and call-quality reports from your phone on our server.
What is kept
These stay as party records. They are linked only to "Deleted member", no longer to your name or number:
- Messages you sent stay in the chats they were sent to, shown as from "Deleted member".
- Your call records and your Sabha and group-call attendance.
- Your answers to named polls and surveys, including answers you typed, as you wrote them.
- Reports you filed and reports about you, for party moderation records. Copies of reported messages are deleted 30 days after the report is closed.
- Entries in the admin audit log about your account (for example when it was approved), and one entry that it was deleted. Admins' IP addresses are removed from the log after 30 days.
- Sabhas you scheduled (admins only) stay on the calendar, shown as hosted by "Deleted member", so other admins can still run them.
We cannot reach: your name where other members typed it in their own messages; attendance lists that admins already downloaded; the SMS company's record that it sent you a code (kept as Indian telecom rules require).
Deleted later, on their own
- Server logs (which can show your IP address): within 30 days.
- Backups: everything is gone from all our backups within 30 days.
- Crash reports of the app in Google Firebase Crashlytics, which do not carry your name, number or account: within 90 days.
Can't open the app?
If you lost your phone or number, email [Contact email] with the subject "Delete my Sabha account" and the phone number you registered with. We check the request comes from you and delete the account within 7 days.
Super admins
The last super admin cannot delete their account, because nobody would be left to appoint admins. Ask [Contact email] to add another super admin first.
